📋Product Description
Break free from factory limitations and treat your BMW 3 Series to a stunning visual transformation. As the most sought-after interior upgrade for the G-Generation (2020–2025), this kit doesn't just compensate for the dimness of the stock lighting—it redefines it with seamless 64-color synchronization. By expanding the illumination zones, vibrant light fully envelops the cabin, creating a midnight driving ambiance that rivals top-tier flagship luxury. This isn't just a modification; it’s the ultimate pursuit of interior excellence and lifestyle quality.
## Key Features of the 64-Color Upgrade
Most high-quality kits designed for the 2020–2025 3 Series aim for an "OEM+" look, meaning they integrate directly into the car's existing systems.
-
System Integration: High-end kits allow you to control colors and brightness directly through the iDrive menu or steering wheel buttons, rather than relying on a separate remote or smartphone app.
-
Expanded Lighting Zones: Standard kits usually cover:
Dashboard Leds surips X2
Door upper lights X4
Door trim light X4
Footwell Leds X4
Doors Handle Leds X4
Saddle trim light X2
Storage Boxe Leds X4
Control Box X5
Wiring Harness
- Dynamic Modes: Some kits offer "breathing" effects or color-chasing modes that aren't available with the stock BMW lighting.
### Compatibility & Fitment
The G20 platform is quite specific regarding its electronics. When shopping, ensure the kit is compatible with your specific year and trim:
| Feature | Details |
| Model Years | 2020–2025 (Pre-LCI and LCI models). |
| Control Method | 1. Car Screen Control (If can not find interior light setting in your car screen, you should buy our OBD tool to upgrade , unlock the hidden function of ambient light control , please contact us! ) 2. Mobile App |
| Installation | Mostly "Plug & Play" using factory-style harnesses, but requires trim removal. |
| Coding | Some kits require OBD coding to "unlock" the 64-color menu if your car only had basic lighting originally. |
### Is it worth it?
If your BMW came from the factory without the "Ambient Lighting" package (S4URA), this is the single best way to modernize the cabin. If you already have the factory lighting but find it too dim or limited in color, these aftermarket LED modules are significantly brighter and offer a much wider spectrum of purples, cyans, and golds.

I just got my 2023 BMW G21 M-Sport Touring, and unfortunately, it didn’t come with factory ambient lighting- a bit unlucky! Most 2023 G21s seem to have it, but mine didn’t, and the interior lighting option isn't even in my i-Drive menu.
So I got the CarAktis ambient light kit + OBD activator, and I was super impressed right out of the box!
The quality is excellent, all the tools and cables are included, and the step-by-step installation guide made the whole process really smooth. Everything is plug-and-play, no need to modify any factory wiring.
The OBD activation was really straightforward too - just a few steps and the ambient lights were working! I also discovered that the OBD can unlock other features besides the ambient lighting.
Overall, the upgrade experience was amazing. The cabin now feels so much more premium and cozy -definitely worth it if you want to level up your interior!
Honestly, I thought these lights were going to disappoint me - but they didn't at all. I ordered the CarAktis kit, and it was pretty easy to find the right wiring in the doors (just disconnect the power window plug). The hardest part of the whole install was figuring out where and how to drill and hide the light modules.
The app it uses has tons of options, and the music-responsive mode is definitely one of my favorites. I've gotten a lot of compliments on these lights, and I love that when they're off, you can barely tell anything's been added to the doors.
If I had to mention one downside, I'd say I wish the footwell lights didn't dim along with the rest of the strips - sometimes they're not as bright as I'd like (though my black carpet probably makes that worse). Everything feels really well-made and durable.
Overall, I absolutely love this setup and would highly recommend it!
If you're looking for an affordable and easy-to-install lighting kit for your car, this one is absolutely worth it!
I was able to add ambient lighting to my BMW that didn't come with it from the factory, and it fits and looks just like OEM. Super happy with how it turned out!
I got these ambient lights to add some extra vibe to my BMW, and they look amazing! Heads up: be careful during installation-don't scratch or dirty the fiber optic inside the other plastic tube, or you'll get unwanted light spots or lines. The install was a bit tricky; I removed the door panels to hide the wires, and it took me about 5-C6 hours total-even though I'd never done this kind of mod before. The end result looks fantastic, and I absolutely love it!
The lights are awesome! I especially love the blue and purple ones. The control app has so many fun modes, which makes this upgrade even cooler. I really loving this mod!
These lights make late-night drives way more fun. The app control is intuitive and lets me set the mood in seconds. Definitely worth it.
Installed these interior lights last weekend and wow… it completely transforms the cabin at night. Super easy plug-and-play, no stress. Highly recommend!
